In this post you will find a list of the best architecture websites that over the years I have selected and which are now in my bookmarks bar and in my Feedly.
These sites were selected for the quality of content and for the amount of inspiration they provide, because – in my opinion – the inspiration is the most important factor.
To be a good Architect you must keep yourself updated, as well as in other fields of work, it is good to be able to discuss with customers or with colleagues. And if you show deep interest in the world of architecture, planning, engineering and culture, definitely you will earn points in the eyes of your stakeholders.
Why you should have your own list of the best architecture websites?
The reason is simple. You’ve already read it in the title and in the introduction. To keep up to date. But not only. Among the reasons why each of us, architects or designers, should navigate on each of these sites at least once a week there are:
- They are undoubtedly a source of inspiration for the work
- Often they provide theoretical contributions and reflections that stimulate our thinking about architecture
- Few if this architectural websites allow you to freely upload your work
- You will be updated on important exhibitions / conferences / trade fairs
- In addition to inspiration, these best architecture websites will provide valuable resources and tips
These are some reasons, shared or not, important or not. But basically, the main reason is certainly the passion for architecture and design and the pleasure to browse beautiful photos of numerous projects or read stories and insights.
Before we begin, I tell you what I think is the best way to keep up to date and do not miss the news and projects that really worth discovering. If you are interested in the best architecture sites then you have to get your account on Feedly (an online tool that can collect the content you selected and propose them back in a way really comfortable, quick and easy).
